A building for indulging in compulsive behavior / a building that satisfies contemporary fetishes and addictions.
Gambling and fitness: two decadent sides of contemporary popular culture.
The building topography consists of a landscape for gambling / the gamblescape and a landscape for exercising / the gymscape.
Obsessive fitness is vanity / the building view of the gym is facade. Compulsive gambling is obscure / the building view of the casino is hiding the interior.
This is part of a larger Masterplan thesis projects, with various interventions in the surrounding area of London City Airport, at the Royal Docks, East London.
